Amino-Mix
Amino-Mix
What is Amino-Mix?
A balanced blend of essential and non-essential amino acids, including branched-chain aminos. This formula is suitable for anyone who is concerned about their overall protein intake, including those looking to support muscle strength, growth, and recovery. Made without any animal products this formula is perfect for supporting a plant-based diet.
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. This unique formula includes 8.2g of easily digested amino acids per serving including:
- 20 amino acids including all 8 essential amino acids
- 1265mg of L-Glutamine
- 1307mg of branched-chain amino acids
This formula is lower in calories than many typical protein supplements. Only 57 calories per 15g serving mixed with water.
What’s in it?
Acti-Fit Amino-Mix is made with a rice protein base. Rice protein is an easily digested protein source that is naturally gluten-free. To complete the amino acid profile we have included free aminos too.
How will Amino-Mix help me?
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Protein is essential for the maintenance and growth of muscles. A vital action if you are regularly training your muscles. When we train our muscles they undergo damage. Protein is used to repair the muscle and encourage stronger growth. Without sufficient protein intake, the body can struggle to repair muscle damage resulting in delayed recovery and reduced performance.
Besides supporting muscle growth, tone, & repair the amino acids play a role in other biological functions:
- Hormone function – Proteins are an important component in a variety of hormones
- Energy – Proteins can be broken down by the body and used as a source of energy
- Skin, hair & nail health – All of these are constructed from protein
Amino acids are classified as either essential or non-essential. Essential amino acids must be obtained from the diet, whereas non-essential amino acids, whilst still very important for health, can be produced in the body.
The branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) are so called because of their branched chemical structures. The three branched-chain aminos – leucine, isoleucine, & valine – make up around 35% of muscle tissue. Unlike the other amino acids, the BCAAs are metabolized in the muscle. For this reason the BCAAs attract a lot of interest from those involved in high-impact activities to both maximize endurance and reduce muscle fatigue.
